At the beginning of June I started keeping track of how many steps I walk in a day as well as the distance I cover. It’s an easy way to see if I’m getting enough exercise and I enjoy walking. There are many benefits to walking, for one walking is an aerobic exercise, and helps the heart and lungs become more efficient. Also regular walking can help reduce stress and enable you to sleep better. When you walk, your body produces endorphins which produce a feeling of wellbeing. Those are two things most people could benefit from, increasing your energy level and enhancing your mental health.
So how many steps did I take during the month of June? I walked 182,759 steps and covered a total distance of 120.51/KM.
Today is also Independence day in the United States so best wishes to them. Being Canadian that particular holiday doesn’t hold too much significance for myself other than the fact that years and years ago when I started my first job I received my first official pay cheque on Independence day.
